LinkedIn has become another valuable social media app to download for business networking. You’re often told that it’s important to help build your brand, increase thought leadership and connect with clients and prospects. While all of that sounds ideal, how can it be accomplished?
It’s not enough to create an account with your agency’s information and wait for the phone calls to come in. Make it a priority to maintain an active presence on LinkedIn and keep your name in front of your followers consistently. Post articles, share blogs and engage in conversations to help your agency’s name remain on the daily newsfeed.
While it may seem tempting to constantly post about insurance products, try taking a different approach to help grab the attention of your clients and prospects through storytelling. Talk about your mission, how your agency came to be or how you helped clients in times of need. Storytelling helps captivate an audience and is a good way to sell your business without any sales pitches.
In the midst of all of your posting, engaging and networking, don’t forget to drive followers back to your website. At the end of the day, your goal is to build a strong working relationship with current clients while marketing to new prospects. A great way to accomplish this is to provide them with opportunities to learn more about you and your agency – and luckily, you can even do this from the comfort of your couch!
