Don't get caught in the trap

This isn't some summer trip you're taking with your father to get away from it all. Once these criminals bait and hook you, they have all they need to steal your information and, sometimes, your money.

These felons use electronic communications to pose as trustworthy entities, asking for sensitive information. They lure their victims with email, phone call and text message scams.

Roughly 156 million phishing emails are sent; 16 million of those emails make it through filters; 8 million scam emails are actually opened; 800,000 links are clicked; 80,000 people share their personal information. And, these are everyday numbers.
